In this role, you will serve as the primary advocate for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and document control processes on behalf of the owner across multiple capital projects. You will ensure high-quality, consistent, and coordinated digital designs from design through construction, while also providing hands-on Revit drafting support for electrical and mechanical systems. This position combines strategic BIM and document control leadership with practical modeling/drafting in MEP disciplines to protect owner interests, verify design quality, identify risks early, and facilitate better decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.</p> <h3 class="p1"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></h3> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and execution plans</li> <li class="li1">Lead interdisciplinary model coordination reviews to identify and resolve clashes, inconsistencies, and potential issues before they impact construction</li> <li class="li1">Act as the owner's point of contact for all BIM-related matters, collaborating with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to align on BIM goals, data exchange formats, LOD/LOI requirements, and model federation</li> <li class="li1">Perform hands-on drafting and modeling in Autodesk Revit, including updating MEP systems (power distribution, piping, ductwork, etc.)</li> <li class="li1">Maintain and manage central owner-side BIM repositories, ensuring version control, data integrity, and secure access for internal teams and project partners.</li> <li class="li1">Conduct quality assurance checks on models, including geometric accuracy and data richness</li> <li class="li1">Support project handover by ensuring as-built models are complete, accurate, and suitable for facility management/operations</li> <li class="li1">Provide guidance to engineers on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices</li> <li class="li1">Stay current with evolving BIM technologies, standards, and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance project outcomes for the owner</li> <li class="li1">Implement and maintain project-specific document control procedures and workflows</li> <li class="li1">Receive, review, register, distribute, and track incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring proper metadata, numbering, revision control, and approval workflows</li> </ul> <h3 class="p1"><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></h3> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">7+ years of experience in BIM management and Revit modeling, with at least 3–5 years focused on MEP (mechanical and electrical) systems</li> <li class="li1">Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP focus), BIM 360/ACC, AutoCAD, and related tools (Navisworks a plus)</li> <li class="li1">Strong understanding of BIM processes across the project lifecycle, including model coordination, clash detection, LOD specifications, and data exchange standards</li> <li class="li1">Strong understanding of document lifecycle management, version/revision control, and transmittal processes</li> <li class="li1">Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities</li> </ul> <h3 class="p1"><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></h3> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Experience working on the owner's side, as an owner's representative, or in a client-facing role reviewing consultant deliverables</li> <li class="li1">Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li> <li class="li1">Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical BIM details and owner/business objectives</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>xAI is an equal opportunity employer.
