Job Description


The Inside Sales Associate plays a pivotal role in driving revenue and helping customers navigate their DNA testing options. As the first point of contact for prospective clients, this individual uses consultative sales techniques to educate, inform, and close sales of paternity and relationship testing services. The ideal candidate is motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service while meeting or exceeding sales goals. This position provides an opportunity to impact lives by guiding customers through critical and often sensitive decisions with professionalism and empathy.

This position offers the opportunity to work from home after completing 90 days of in-office training and meeting required performance metrics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Field 30-40 inbound calls per day requiring active listening and documenting customer details.
  • Quickly understand and analyze customer needs to provide logical solutions.
  • Explain DDC’s products and services in a professional manner via phone, email, text message, or chat.
  • Utilize consultative sales techniques to overcome objections and close sales.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and sensitivity when handling confidential or emotional inquiries.
  • Achieve or exceed performance goals including Closing %, Revenue Per Call, and Calls Per Day.
  • Escalate customer needs that require additional knowledge or ability to leadership.
  • Research required information using available resources.
  • Attend training and coaching sessions to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Able to document information in an application while on an active call.
  • Able to learn other database and communication software, as applicable.
  • Follow DDC procedures and guidelines to ensure that DDC’s services are offered in a manner consistent with our mission and vision statements
  • Other duties as assigned or become evident

Qualifications
  • One (1) to two (2) years of previous sales experience (retail, inside sales, or logistics).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong persuasive communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive conversations with discretion.
  • Results-driven and able to maintain and sustain individual and company goals.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to demonstrate and uphold the highest levels of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  • Completion of HIPPA training.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of a headset and computer to process customer inquiries.
  • Communicating with customers via phone and digital platforms.

Additional Information


Compensation:

  • $15.50-$16.50/hour (based on experience) + $750 guaranteed commission for first 3 months
  • Monthly commissions based on sales achievements
  • Successful team members enjoy annual earning potential of $45k-$75k

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 10am-7pm
