What To Expect
We are seeking a talented and experienced Content Producer to join the Tesla Content team based in Austin, TX. This person will be responsible for conceptualizing, capturing, and editing video projects that support the Robotaxi program, maintaining Tesla’s video standards, and upholding the Tesla brand. Content will include public-facing videos that tell the story of Robotaxi, such as product, factory & industry updates, customer engagement content, and creative content for assembly line/manufacturing scenarios.

What You'll Do

  • Develop video concepts that effectively serve business needs and build storyboards to communicate the concept to stakeholders and collaborators
  • Coordinate interdepartmentally within Tesla to plan video shoots, including support for the Robotaxi program
  • Identify and scout locations (e.g., manufacturing facilities, Austin-based sites), arrange permits or rentals when needed
  • Manage and maintain video equipment
  • Capture interview, documentary, product, and lifestyle cinematography in a wide spectrum of settings, including assembly line environments and high-tech manufacturing scenarios
  • Edit footage into final polished videos, including basic color grading & sound mixing
  • Manage all produced content locally and via shared content platforms (Frame.io)
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication within the team and among all parties involved
  • Highlight milestones, product launches, scaling efforts, and public engagement for the Robotaxi program
  • Showcase the customer journey, emphasizing Accessibility, Safety, and Entertainment aspects


  • What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years’ experience as a videographer at a production company, agency, in-house marketing communications or creative services department, and proven experience handling video production from concept to delivery
  • Strong understanding of high-tech manufacturing processes and the ability to conceptualize these into compelling content
  • You are highly creative, organized, detailed, able to carry multiple projects in parallel, and a great communicator. You can turn challenges into opportunities for growth
  • Fundamental cinematography training: strong sense of cinematic composition, camera movement, lighting, and knowledge of camera and lens settings (e.g., RAW and LOG recording formats, sensor size, ISO, shutter angle, resolution, frame rates, etc.)
  • Experience in a variety of camera setups: vehicle rigging, handheld, tripod, slider. Cinematic drone operation experience
  • Ability to conduct on-camera interviews + setup microphone recording
  • Producing experience: able to conceptualize and develop video concepts, iterate based on stakeholder feedback, and plan a shoot to execute on it
  • Editing with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro), basic color grading, and sound design
  • Flexibility to travel for shoots on short notice, including Austin location shoots and manufacturing environments
