Job Overview
The Corporate Director of Revenue Management is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic management of total room revenue across the hotel portfolio. This role focuses on maximizing revenue performance through the effective leadership and guidance of Revenue Managers and Area Directors. The position may also involve directly managing the day-to-day revenue management functions for one or more properties as required.
This role works closely with each hotel’s General Manager, Director of Sales, and other members of the leadership team to ensure alignment between revenue strategies and overall business objectives. The position requires frequent interaction with key stakeholders and therefore demands a high level of professionalism, discretion, and strong communication skills.
A key responsibility of this role is the development and implementation of pricing strategies, inventory controls, and demand management practices designed to capture the most profitable mix of business and maximize overall hotel revenue.
In addition, the Corporate Director of Revenue Management provides oversight of the Central Reservations Department to ensure exceptional customer service, effective reservation sales processes, and compliance with company policies. The role also involves analyzing reservation trends and operational data to optimize staffing levels, ensure proper coverage, and support efficient departmental operations.
The person who has this position must possess good communication skills, have the ability to resolve conflict and have a thorough understanding of hotel policies, procedures and expectations.

employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement pricing strategies across multiple markets to maximize RevPAR, ADR and total revenue performance
2. Monitor and analyze market trends, customer behavior, and comp set pricing to adjust portfolio pricing accordingly
3. Communicate said strategies and any forecasted changes to ownership, asset managers and other key stakeholders
4. Maximize overall room revenue on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well as direct yield strategies to achieve or exceed budgeted room revenues and market share penetration goals
5. Optimize channel mix and distribution strategies to ensure profitable revenue growth
6. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leaders on all matters relating to room revenue, and provide room revenue and occupancy forecasts for operational departments
7. Work with hotel sales teams on quarterly & annual goals and review Sales Incentive Plans (SIPs) for approval
8. Prepare and analyze daily, weekly and monthly segmentation pace reports and set and implement selling strategies based on pace and market conditions
9. Assist in creating the Rooms Revenue Budget and Market penetration goals annually
10. Review and analyze current software & systems and provide recommendations on improvements
11. Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotels
12. Recruit, interview, select, train, guide, manage and schedule personnel
13. Oversee monitoring and developing employee performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, setting annual goals and delivering recognition and reward
14. Manage the Reservation Department staff, ensuring that proper selling strategies and standard operating procedures are in place and adhered to
15. Prepare agenda, and lead the weekly Revenue Management Strategy meeting, to include critiques, tracking, competitive analysis and future strategies for all market segments
16. Attend applicable meetings pertaining to hotels within the portfolio, outside of primary property.
17. Manage vendor/system relationships and agreements.
18. Ensure staff understands their job expectations before holding them accountable
19. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
20. Maintain “open door” communication with employees
21. Maintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee files
22. Must be courteous and gracious, always maintaining a professional demeanor
23. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements

Knowledge, Requirements and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least five (5) years’ experience as a Corporate, Regional or Area Director of Revenue or relevant position within a reputable hotel group
  • At least five (5) years’ experience managing multiple employees
  • Must be in market and able to work a hybrid schedule out of either LA, NY, or Austin
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (Excel, in particular) and Outlook
  • Detailed knowledge of GDS, CRS, and OTA platforms
  • Working knowledge of basic AI tools
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts, calculate & analyze trends and pace.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise data, analysis, instruction and guidance to both internal and external audiences as appropriate
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the portfolio
  • Knowledgeable in hotel and guest room facilities/services
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be able to travel approximately one (1) week at a time, one to three times per quarter.

Working Conditions/Environment
