## Key Role Overview The Diagnostics Technical Specialist provides onsite technical support, implementation, training, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization for veterinary clinics, laboratory research, and academic veterinary settings. The role is responsible for territory business health and customer satisfaction, selling diagnostic solutions, increasing product utilization, and reducing implementation time. The position requires extensive travel to customer sites and collaboration with sales and diagnostic teams. ## Key Responsibilities - Responsible for the success of relationships with assigned clinics to achieve customer and company goals, improve utilization, increase adoption, and minimize implementation time of diagnostic products. - Identify, quantify, qualify, track, and evaluate clinic pain points; facilitate, design, and implement clinic workflow processes that improve customer experience with diagnostic products. - Respond to requests for onsite technical support, providing prompt and accurate technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex system problems for veterinary clinics, laboratory research, and academic settings. - Provide guidance, instruction, and training on product lines through formal and informal presentations to increase clinic productivity and performance. - Perform post-sale product installation and validation, and provide applications and operations training. - Complete daily activity documentation and detailed reports after customer visits, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information including customer satisfaction details. - Work closely with Area Business Managers (ABMs) and Diagnostic Solutions Consultants (DSCs) to deliver customer service in a team approach and identify opportunities for additional analyzers or referrals. - Safely lift and move up to 60 lbs as required for equipment handling and installations. ## Required Qualifications - Associate degree required or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree preferred. - At least one year of experience working in a clinical setting. - Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe). - Analytical mindset with demonstrable critical thinking skills. - Availability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the work week, including travel to multiple locations within the US and Canada; flexible scheduling to meet customer visit requests (may require Sunday travel to be onsite Monday morning). - Authorization to work in the US. ## Preferred Qualifications - Degree from a Veterinary Technology program preferred. - Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred. - Basic knowledge of animal disease states. - Knowledge of diagnostic products, instrumentation, and clinic processes. - Bilingual in Spanish or French is a plus. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not disclosed. - Key benefits include competitive healthcare and retirement savings benefits, plus programs supporting health, financial wellness, family and lifestyle resources. ## Additional Information - Work arrangement: Remote role covering an assigned territory (listed as US WV Remote) with significant on-site customer visits. - Typical hours: Standard business hours Monday through Friday; new hire initial trainings held in Union City, CA; Malvern, PA; and Parsippany, NJ; national and regional meetings require additional travel. - Zoetis is an equal opportunity employer, provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities, and retains discretion regarding immigration sponsorship and employment eligibility.
