Role Description

As a Pharmacy Senior Technician Representative, you will work within our Operations (OPS) Insurance team, supporting insurance claims, prior authorizations, and related workflows. In this senior role, you will lead by example, serve as a subject matter resource, and help ensure high-quality, compliant insurance processing for our patients and clinic partners.

  • Lead the Ops team by example in handling insurance-related tasks, including claims processing, prior authorizations, and issue resolution, while maintaining expected volume and quality.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for insurance workflows and best practices.
  • Mentor and support new team members, with a focus on insurance procedures.
  • Assist with patient and clinic escalations related to insurance issues.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives within insurance operations.
  • Support adherence to Quality Assurance standards, emphasizing insurance accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide coaching or performance feedback to new hires related to insurance responsibilities, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Will be required to obtain an active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License or MA Pharmacy Technician Trainee License (with ability to obtain full licensure).
  • CPhT certification required and a valid Pharmacy Technician license required within the state the applicant resides (AZ, MA or IL).
  • Minimum 1 year of Operations experience or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy or healthcare experience; insurance processing, claims, or prior authorization experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance workflows, including claims submission and prior authorizations.
  • Comfortable communicating with patients, insurance companies, and clinics regarding insurance-related matters.
  • Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced, insurance-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills.

Requirements

  • Primary shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Flexibility to cover late shift (10:30 AM – 7:00 PM) as needed.
  • Must be able to work one Saturday per month, with a weekday off provided.
