Role Description

The Pricing Operations Specialist is responsible for deploying & maintaining pricing strategies for memberships, personal training, and special offers in the company's pricing application. This role administers promo code requests and provides support to club and corporate staff on pricing related questions. Works cross functionally with business partners to ensure clear field communication and implementation of pricing strategies, new membership policies and programs. Supports the Revenue Management team with pricing analytics relating to performance trends of key company metrics. Also leads product, pricing and promotion ad hoc projects as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Product, Pricing and Promotions Operations:
    • Understand overall strategy regarding company offerings (products, pricing, promotions) to execute system changes.
    • Log products, pricing and promotions (membership, personal training, special offers) into the company's pricing tool.
    • Maintain Revenue Management files for accurate recording of price changes and historical pricing.
    • Generate internal reports based on the company's pricing tool to service Revenue Management and other business partners.
    • Consult with field leaders regarding pricing questions or issues.
    • Act as main point of contact for the Pricing inbox and work cross functionally to resolve issues.
    • Operate and maintain the pricing systems and process, working closely with IT/Tech department.
  • Pricing Analysis:
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, including industry/competitor studies.
    • Execute reporting to analyze performance around various programs and generate ad hoc reports for stakeholders.
    • Provide analytical support to department and develop recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative factors.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead the rollout of product, pricing, and promotion initiatives, managing timelines and measuring performance.

Qualifications

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • High degree of accuracy in work product; ability to audit own and others' work for accuracy.
  • Detail oriented with high attention to formatting and presentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to make presentations.
  • Ability and desire to deliver work independently and autonomously.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and set priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and technologies.
  • Flexible, responsive, and collaborative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business (or relevant subject matter), or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience in a corporate/administrative setting.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of project management tools.
  • Prior experience with Anaplan pricing tool.
  • Passion for the fitness/wellness industry.
  • Experience in multi-unit retail or fitness industry.
  • Experience building and maintaining Excel reports.
  • Experience working with pricing/revenue management systems.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • Standard office environment with extended periods of computer work.
  • Weekend and evening hours may be required.

Travel Requirement

  • Remote position; occasional travel to Headquarters (Carlsbad, CA), Los Angeles (CA), Texas (Dallas) or other destinations to meet in a team environment.
