Visit our website to learn more.</p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a talented and motivated Ingeniero de Ventas to join our dynamic team.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br></strong></p><p>The Sales Engineer for Central America & the Caribbean plays a critical role in accelerating the growth of Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions across LatAm region. This position is not only responsible for driving sales, but for actively shaping the market by identifying high-value opportunities, strengthening distributor capabilities, detect geographic coverage opportunities and expanding the adoption of advanced fluid handling solutions.<br>Acting as a trusted technical and commercial partner, the Sales Engineer connects customer needs with innovative solutions, unlocking value in key industries such as mining, food & beverage, chemical, and water treatment. Through a combination of field engagement, application expertise, and strategic execution, the role directly contributes to building a strong, sustainable pipeline and increasing market share.<br>This role is designed for a highly proactive and entrepreneurial individual who thrives on creating opportunities, influencing outcomes, and taking ownership of territory performance. Success in this position means not only achieving sales targets but also leaving a lasting impact on how the business grows, how distributors perform, and how customers perceive the brand in the region.</p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing<br></strong>As Central America & Caribbean Sales Engineer you will:</p><ul><li>Act as “Owner” of the territory with full accountability for results</li><li>Proactively look for improvement opportunities to maximize results</li><li>Drive revenue growth and achieve regional sales targets</li><li>Support and develop distributor capabilities (technical, commercial, pipeline discipline)</li><li>Identify and develop new business opportunities in key industries (mining, food & beverage, chemical, water treatment, pharma)</li><li>Provide technical support and application expertise for peristaltic, dosing and fluid transfer solutions, for both channels and end users.</li><li>Conduct customer visits, joint calls, and technical presentations</li><li>Build and manage a strong and healthy sales pipeline across multiple countries</li><li>Deliver accurate forecasting and market intelligence</li><li>Support implementation of regional strategies (e.g., service center, Try & Buy, key account development)</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams (service, marketing, operations) to ensure execution excellence</li><li>Travel throughout the territory (Central America & Caribbean)<br><strong></strong></li></ul><p><strong>Who you’ll be working with</strong><br>As Central America & Caribbean Sales Engineer located in Panama you will be working with both internal and external stakeholders.<br><strong>Internal include:</strong><br>Central America & Caribbean Sales Manager<br>America´s Sales Team<br>LatAm Sales Team<br>Application Engineers<br><strong>External include:</strong><br>Distributors<br>OEMs<br>Engineering Firms<br>Contractors<br>End users (customers)</p><p><strong>This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role</strong></p><ul><li><strong> </strong>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or related)</li></ul><ul><li>Proven Industrial Sales experience in mining, chemical sector, water treatment, biopharmaceutical sector and F&B (highly desirable)</li><li>Strong technical understanding of fluid handling, pumps, or fluid handling technology (preferred)</li><li>Commercial mindset with ability to translate technical solutions into business value</li><li>Fluent in English and Spanish</li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills</li><li>Experience working with distributors and channel management (desirable)</li><li>Exposure to Central America & Caribbean markets (highly desirable)</li><li>Strong Customer Centric mindset</li><li>Highly proactive and self-motivated / Intrapreneurship Attitude</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently throughout Central America and Caribbean (40%-60%)</li></ul><p></p></div><div class="job-advert"><p>At Watson-Marlow, we believe in taking care of our colleagues.
