We are looking for a LARGE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR to join our Pelham, AL  plant.  As a large equipment operator with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Receives instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
  • Operate Forklift, Front End Loader or Mijack equipment in order to move product and supplies to desired location safely.
  • Completes pre-shift daily audit and maintains daily safety checklist.
  • Complies with Next Level Quality Assurance Program at all times.
  • Operates equipment to empty departments of finished product and move to their specified locations, as well as load and unload in accordance with Contech’s guide.
  • Prepares lumber for dunnage use, operates saws and nail guns.
  • Fuels and maintains forklift
  • Completes post-shift daily audit and parks equipment in designated area at the end of each day.
  • Records and turns in production as required.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in clean, orderly conditions per 5S standards.
  • Other duties assigned.

About You

We Require:

  • One (1) year of Manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
  • One (1) year of forklift or crane operation experience.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Preferred – certification in forklift operation, industrial forklift a plus.
  • Preferred – certification on large equipment operation.
