<p>Who is a League Support Technician at SMT?</p><p>Are you a basketball fan? Do you have experience troubleshooting and maintaining software/hardware? Do you enjoy solving problems and working with customers to score winning solutions? If you answered yes to these questions, we've got a great opportunity for you to shoot your shot with SMT as a NBA League Support Technician!</p><p>As a League Support Technician, you will provide game day support for games and events with the NBA and its affiliated leagues. During the league seasons, flexibility is key as the workday could be morning, afternoon or night shifts based on league game schedules. You will be responsible for ensuring SMT/NBA resources are functional pregame as well as monitor multiple systems and applications during live events. Additionally, you are expected to troubleshoot multiple systems and connections in the event of irregular or total loss of functionality.</p><p>This role requires the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays throughout NBA season, including preseason and summer league, as well as affiliated league schedules.</p><p>This position will report on-site to the NBA Headquarters in Secaucus, NJ.</p><p>What is Your Daily Impact at SMT?</p><ul><li>Systems support for all NBA league, systems and applications</li><li>Monitors multiple systems and applications</li><li>Works within a group to ensure that our services are delivered successfully</li><li>Creates and continues an open communication platform with SMT and its clients</li><li>Communicates with staff on-site for verification of SMT system deliverables</li><li>Performs system maintenance when necessary - both on and off-site</li><li>Troubleshoots system components - computers, cameras, cables, printers, networks, and SMT software</li><li>Assists in testing all related hardware and software, diagnoses problems and recommends solutions for debugging</li><li>Logs tickets for all calls, emails, or any issues communicated to the help desk</li></ul><p>What Do You Bring to This Role at SMT?</p><p>Here are some of the key skills and experiences we are looking for in our next teammates:</p><ul><li>Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and Windows OS</li><li>Excellent attention to detail</li><li>Basic Basketball Rules Knowledge</li><li>Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Open availability (must be available to work daytime, night, weekend, and holiday games)</li><li>Previous technical troubleshooting skills preferred</li><li>Ability to:</li><li>Quickly process feedback from the system and adjust in real time</li><li>Work well under pressure and complete tasks on time</li><li>Follow daily checklists and other written procedures</li><li>Works independently and without direct supervision</li><li>Travel 2-3 weeks per year</li><li>Provide Events support during the off-season and when needed</li><li>Must be reliable in execution of assigned tasks and detail oriented</li><li>Must be dependable in terms of punctuality and task performance efficiency</li><li>Able to complete assigned projects and assignments in a timely manner</li><li>Can obtain a passport, or other authorization into various worldwide locations</li></ul><p>What Can SMT Offer You?</p><ul><li>The hourly rate for this position is $20-$28/hour based on experience.</li><li>Your work will directly contribute to the success of our SMT teams, driving innovation and changing the game of basketball scoring systems and data collection technology.</li><li>Often described as feeling like a start-up with a 40-year track record of serving sports leagues and broadcast partners, this team offers the chance to collaborate with experts in their fields, grow within the company and be valued for your contributions.
