WORK OPTION: The NBA currently provides eligible employees the option of working remotely one day per week.<p><span style="color:#ffffff">_________________</span></p><h1>Position Summary</h1><p>Reporting to the Systems & Innovation Lead, the Content & Engagement – Project Employee supports the league’s transparency and communication objectives by developing, organizing, and distributing digital content related to officiating. This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of multimedia materials for internal and external stakeholders, managing approval workflows, and engaging appropriately with fans and media on social platforms to clarify officiating processes and highlight key educational messages.</p><p><b><i>This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months</i></b></p><p></p><h1>Major Responsibilities</h1><ul><li><span>Develop a comprehensive content strategy for the referee operations department.</span></li><li><span>Partner with the NBA’s Content, Communications, Broadcast, Video, and Referee Operations teams, as well as the National Basketball Referee Association on external messaging strategy to support officiating.</span></li><li><span>Adapt officiating materials into clear, accessible resources for various stakeholder groups.</span></li><li><span>Work with department management to develop an officiating curriculum for different levels of officiating.</span></li><li><span>Develop presentations, briefings, and interactive sessions to strengthen officiating literacy among key stakeholder groups. </span></li><li><span>Track and report on officiating content engagement metrics.</span></li><li><span>Monitor social and digital conversations around officiating.</span></li><li><span>Provide insights to internal partners regarding fan sentiment.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span>Required Skills/Knowledge</span></u></b></p><ul><li><span>Knowledge of and passion for basketball required, </span></li><li><span>Strong content creation, editorial, storytelling, and written communication skills.</span></li><li><span>Experience creating digital media content across multiple, high traffic platforms.</span></li><li><span>Proficiency with content management workflows and basic video editing tools.</span></li><li><span>Strong organizational and project-management skills.</span></li><li><span>Ability to communicate effectively across stakeholders.
