Position: B&FS Regional Manager CARICAM

Reports to:  Commercial Leader – B&FS

 

Mission
Drive incremental volume in CARICAM across Foodservice and Bakery Sales by building new business, expanding key customers, and leading a team to convert whitespace through a distributor/customer ecosystem. In addition to the core deliverables, the role is responsible for developing, planning and executing short-to-mid-term sales strategies and achieving objectives including Net Sales growth, Trade and Marketing spend budget execution and Delivered Margin growth for all brands under General Mills.

  • Commercial growth muscle: Prospecting, whitespace identification, pipeline discipline, and closing through a distributor/customer ecosystem, including opening new markets and activating sellers.
  • Customer leadership: Builds trust fast, runs strong joint business conversations, and translates customer needs into executable growth plans.
  • People leadership: Sets clear priorities, coaches to capability, and drives a consistent execution cadence and culture of accountability.

Must-have outcomes

  • New whitespace pipeline created and progressed to wins (with clear funnel visibility)
  • New-market engagement plan built and executed with internal sales + distributor partners
  • Key-customer growth plans executed (Foodservice + Bakery)
  • Team execution cadence established (pipeline reviews, customer business reviews, forecast rhythm)

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual commercial plan for CARICAM across Foodservice and Bakery, including growth priorities, resource allocation, and operating cadence to deliver profitable growth.
  • Define whitespace and new-market opportunities, translate them into target lists and plays, and engage internal sales and distributor partners to activate and win in those markets.
  • Lead execution of the market sales plan, ensuring priorities, targets, and scorecards are clear and progress is visible through a disciplined pipeline/forecast rhythm.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships; lead joint business conversations that convert customer needs into growth plans and execution commitments.
  • Lead a collaborative approach across market leadership and cross-functional partners to deliver results while managing budget and costs.
  • Drive core commercial routines (pipeline management, customer business reviews, market reporting) and continuously improve the quality of insights and follow-through.

Experience Consultative sales experience in Foodservice, Bakery, or similar distributor-led models

  • Demonstrated mastery of consultative selling, prospecting, networking, and negotiation
  • Proven ability to operate across funnel activities (prospecting, qualifying, negotiation, account penetration)
  • Strong analytical skills; can translate data into clear actions and choices
  • Prior experience leading or supervising others; effective coaching and development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English)

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; MBA is an advantage 
  • Experience in CPG (or related) industry
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, verbally and written.

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Ideal candidate should have 10 years of professional experience 
  • Proven track record of developing sales and strong customer relationships as well as developing and implementing trade initiatives 
  • Full understanding of respective market environment – Food Service & Bakery
  • Strong influencing skills 
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $93700.00 - $140700.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Beyond base salary, General Mills offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being.
