We're a multi-functional group with deep expertise in storytelling, community-building, and player-first content strategies that amplify fandom and make games more accessible and engaging.<br /> <br /> Your Impact<br /> <br /> As a Senior CRM Content Writer, you will create editorial content that helps players understand game systems, discover new experiences, and stay connected to Battlefield. You will transform complex gameplay updates into accessible content that supports player engagement, retention, and long-term franchise growth. You will also contribute to content initiatives across Apex Legends and other EA entertainment titles, helping share insights and best practices across franchises.<br /> <br /> Responsibilities<br /> • Create editorial content including patch explainers, onboarding guides, feature deep-dives, and developer spotlights.<br /> • Translate gameplay systems, updates, and live-service content into clear player-facing communications.<br /> • Partner with developers, brand teams, and community teams to identify stories and content opportunities.<br /> • Maintain consistent voice, tone, and editorial quality across content channels.<br /> • Adapt long-form content for web, email, and in-game experiences.<br /> • Manage editorial calendars, review cycles, and publishing timelines.<br /> • Monitor player feedback and sentiment to inform content priorities.<br /> • Support content initiatives across Battlefield, Apex Legends, and other EA entertainment franchises.<br /> • Develop content that helps players discover features, understand updates, and deepen engagement.<br /> • Contribute to the evolution of Battlefield's editorial strategy and player education content.<br /> <br /> Required Qualifications<br /> • Knowledge of Battlefield gameplay systems, player onboarding, and live-service content models.<br /> • Familiarity with Apex Legends and the broader EA entertainment portfolio.<br /> • Experience creating long-form editorial, gaming, or entertainment content.<br /> • Experience translating complex technical or gameplay information into accessible content.<br /> • Experience researching information from official game sources, patch notes, and community channels.<br /> • Experience applying SEO practices to improve content discoverability and audience reach.<br /> • Experience managing editorial calendars and publishing workflows.<br /> • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners including studio, marketing, and community teams.<br /> <br /> Core Skills and Experience<br /> • Editorial planning, content development, and storytelling.<br /> • Interviewing subject matter experts and synthesizing information into player-focused content.<br /> • Content strategy for live-service or player engagement programs.<br /> • Publishing workflows and multi-channel content distribution.<br /> • Analysis of player feedback and audience trends to identify content opportunities.<br /> • Written communication tailored to different player audiences and experience levels.<br /> <br /> Pay Transparency - North America<br /> <br /> COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS<br /> <br /> The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).<br /> <br /> PAY RANGES<br /> <br /> * California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$104,400 - $157,400 USD<br /> <br /> Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.<br /> <br /> In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
