QIMA has committed publicly to becoming the most AI-, data-, and technology-forward company in the TIC industry, and this team is central to that ambition. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Data & Technology, you will set the architectural direction for a team of data, software, and web engineers, make AI a core part of how the function designs, builds, and operates. You will have a passion for solutions which bring simplicity, efficiency, and scalability to existing processes and future growth platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Data Strategy: Own the codebase, APIs, and automations behind customer data flows across websites, registrations, leads, pipeline, and reporting. Simplify, scale, and introduce AI to existing processes; build a clear roadmap to eliminate technical debt and business cases for investment or cross-departmental collaboration.

Web & Digital Strategy: Own the global QIMA website and 20+ acquired customer-facing websites, and the cross-functional alignment that drives commercial value across all sites. Manage PII and GDPR compliance across all relevant systems.

Marketing Systems Architecture: Design and improve the architecture that ingests data from web, CMS, email, social, search, and advertising sources and makes it understandable and usable in CRM and customer-facing systems.

Scalability & Integration: QIMA acquires rapidly. Build the playbook, tooling, and governance to integrate acquired websites, CRMs, marketing stacks, and customer databases into QIMA’s platforms quickly and safely. Commercial continuity must be preserved without cost acceleration.

AI & Process Automation: Embed AI into how the team designs, builds, tests, and operates. Partner with the QIMA AI Squad to identify where AI agents can replace repetitive, rules-based work across the revenue pipeline, freeing engineering capacity for higher-value architecture and integration.

Data as the Foundation for AI: QIMA's data and documentation quality directly determines the quality of every AI system built on top of it. Own the standards, monitoring, and remediation that keep customer data, pipeline data, and cross-platform connections fit for purpose.

Documentation & Knowledge Management: Establish the standards, tools, and cadence to capture how systems work, how processes run, and why decisions were made. Treat documentation as a product which drives AI effectiveness; treat undocumented knowledge as a risk.

Team Leadership in an AI-Augmented Environment: Lead an AI-fluent team of engineers, supported by contractors and agencies where specialist depth is needed short-term. Coach the team to work effectively alongside AI tooling and agents, raise the bar on what each individual delivers, and protect weekly time for every team member to develop genuine AI proficiency — including yourself. Run agile delivery with full transparency on pipeline and timelines.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Leadership: Proven management of data and web teams, with a grasp of the distinct project lifecycles, skill sets, and cultural needs of the data discipline. AI-native engineering practice, with day-to-day use of AI-assisted development tooling and practical experience integrating large language models into production workflows (API orchestration, prompt design, context management, evals, cost-aware architecture). A clear view on where agentic AI patterns add value and where they do not.

Systems Architecture: Deep experience managing architecture for customer-facing technology — capturing data from CMS, web forms, MAP software, CRM, APIs, and third parties — and applying data warehousing principles to the flow and storage of customer data.

Analytical & Problem-Solving: Prioritises important and urgent work in an environment of continuous iteration. Translates complex problems into phased, practical solutions and specifies plans clearly for technical implementors and business stakeholders alike.

Communication & Collaboration: Operates with full transparency on pipelines, delivery timelines, and performance metrics across departments.
