You will work directly with some of the world's largest enterprises. You will design, integrate, and optimize security solutions across cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and API infrastructures. Highly hands-on technical role with strategic architectural exposure. You'll help customers deploy and operationalize API Security solutions as their primary role.</p> <p><strong>Become a Technical Influencer</strong></p> <p>This role supports customers in leveraging Akamai technologies for application and API protection. It suits individuals passionate about resolving technical challenges and enhancing skills in enterprise architecture and security. Responsibilities encompass aiding efforts in App and API Security, WAF, Bot Management, AI-driven protections, CDN, Zero Trust, and cloud security solutions.</p> <p>As a Technical Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Integrating and leading the deployment of the API Security Platform and its components across diverse enterprise ecosystems.</li> <li>Resolving deployment issues across Kubernetes platforms, virtual appliances, cloud infrastructure, networking, API gateways, authentication flows, hybrid architectures, and distributed applications.</li> <li>Acting as a partner to customer engineering, DevOps, cloud, networking, or security teams to deploy and operationalize Akamai API Security Platform.</li> <li>Analyzing API traffic to identify misconfigurations, authentication gaps, performance bottlenecks.</li> <li>Supporting configuration of in/out-bound traffic sources for major API gateways and platforms (such as F5, Citrix, Apigee, Kong, NGINX, or MuleSoft).</li> <li>Developing enterprise architecture diagrams, integration patterns, deployment plans, and operational runbooks.</li> <li>Leading customer workshops, technical enablement sessions, and architectural reviews.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Do what you love</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role you will:</p> <ul> <li>Possess adequate role-experience and customer-facing skills.</li> <li>Demonstrate extensive experience in architecting IaaS solutions for customers. Hold professional certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle and/or CNCF.</li> <li>Have experience troubleshooting distributed cloud-native applications and debugging skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.</li> <li>Have experience with containerized environments like Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, or traditional enterprise infrastructure systems such as Linux and VMware/OVA hosting.</li> <li>Possess hands-on experience with major cloud platforms and IaC tools while understanding networking fundamentals like TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S.</li> <li><span>Understand modern API technologies like RESTful APIs, OAuth/JWT, API authentication, and authorization; configure API gateways, ingress controllers, or <u>WAF/WAAP</u>.</span></li> <li><span>Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to clearly explain complex technical concepts and explore AI-assisted development and innovative coding approaches</span><span>.</span><span> </span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Build your career at Akamai</strong></p> <p>Our ability to shape digital life today relies on developing exceptional people like you.
