Job description:<br><br>Job Description <p><strong>Location:</strong> Cupertino, CA (Onsite – 5 days/week)</p>Role Overview<p>The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for end‑to‑end (E2E) validation across devices, backend services, data pipelines, browser UI, and supporting systems. This role requires strong hands‑on automation skills, deep debugging capabilities, and the ability to independently triage complex system‑level issues before escalation.</p>Responsibilities<ul><li>Execute end‑to‑end testing across devices, backend services, data pipelines, browser UI, and supporting systems.</li><li>Validate functionality of new device features and server‑side platform changes.</li><li>Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scenarios.</li><li>Investigate test failures and perform root cause analysis across the full system stack, including devices, backend services, and data pipelines.</li><li>Analyze logs and system telemetry to identify the source of failures.</li><li>Collaborate with internal engineering teams to deliver actionable defect reports with clear reproduction steps and supporting diagnostics.</li><li>Work with test frameworks and automation tools written in Python, JavaScript, and device automation frameworks such as XCUI.</li><li>Support validation of cross‑system workflows involving devices, backend services, and data pipelines.</li><li>Independently triage issues and identify probable failure points prior to escalation.</li></ul>Technical Requirements<ul><li>Minimum <strong>8+ years of experience</strong> in test automation or software quality engineering.</li><li>Strong programming and automation experience using <strong>Python and Java</strong>.</li><li>Hands‑on experience with <strong>device automation frameworks</strong>, including <strong>XCUI</strong>.</li><li>Proven ability to analyze logs and debug issues across <strong>distributed systems</strong>.</li><li>Solid understanding of <strong>backend services</strong>, system integrations, and APIs.</li><li>Experience validating complex workflows that span <strong>devices, backend services, and data pipelines</strong>.</li><li>Good knowledge of <strong>database connectivity</strong>, data access patterns, and <strong>SQL</strong>.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>containerization technologies</strong> and cloud platforms such as <strong>AWS or GCP</strong>.</li><li>Exposure to <strong>data pipeline technologies</strong> like <strong>Kafka and Spark</strong>.</li><li>Experience working with internal test frameworks and automation infrastructure.</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>E2E testing methodologies</strong> and system‑level validation.</li><li>Excellent debugging skills with the ability to independently diagnose and triage issues.</li></ul><p>  <br> </p><p></p><p>Mandatory Skills: Enterprise Platform Engineering Python .</p><p> </p><p>Experience: 5-8 Years<br>.</p><p> </p><p>The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $148,500 .</p><p> </p><p>Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
