We are looking for a Workday HRIS Analyst to join our HR Systems and Support team at Medavie. HR Systems and Support is part of Medavie Operations. Our team supports modern HR and payroll systems that enable frontline healthcare operations and help drive digital transformation across the organization. As a Workday HRIS Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing our Workday platform, with a strong focus on Workday Absence Management. This role requires hands-on experience configuring and supporting Absence in Workday. We are especially interested in candidates with Benefits and/or Payroll experience who can support related processes and collaborate across connected areas of the platform. As a Workday HRIS Analyst, key responsibilities include Workday Configuration & Support Configure, maintain, and support Workday Absence Management, including leave plans, eligibility rules, accruals, validations, notifications, and related configuration. Troubleshoot and resolve Absence-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and support timely resolution of incidents and service requests. Act as a trusted advisor on Workday Absence functionality, best practices, and process improvements. Apply any Benefits and/or Payroll configuration experience to support integrated solution design and cross-functional issue resolution. Collaboration & Business Analysis Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for enhancements, projects, and operational initiatives. Build strong working relationships and provide guidance on Workday capabilities and system functionality. Assess impacts, manage priorities, and resolve issues effectively using strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Testing & Release Management Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for system enhancements, releases, and configuration changes. Create and execute test scenarios and validate results. Review and validate defect resolution activities. Assess release impacts and support change readiness activities. Continuous Improvement Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, compliance, and user experience. Recommend and implement process and system improvements. Create and maintain documentation, job aids, and knowledge resources to support consistency and user adoption. Workday HRIS Analyst Key Qualifications College diploma or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Absence Management. A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Workday Benefits and/or Payroll configuration is strongly preferred. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting ticket resolution and day to day operational support. Experience with system implementations, acquisitions or enhancements would be considered an asset. Experience working in a multi-unionized environment would be considered an asset. Experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related industry would be considered an asset. Workday certification(s) would be considered an asset. Why join us? Pay Range 61,221 - 68,873 CAD The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
