Join SPS Commerce and be part of a dynamic team that's transforming the global retail supply chain!</p><p></p><h1><b>Position Summary:</b></h1><p></p>Job Summary: The Sr. Payroll Administrator is primarily responsible for overseeing payroll and related accounting processes, as well as all activities necessary to process accurate, timely, and compliant payroll in multiple states and countries. This role will work closely with Human Resources and Accounting teams, responding to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll, policies, and procedures.<p></p><div><p><b>Essential Responsibilities / Duties</b></p><ul><li><p>Oversee monthly and semi-monthly payrolls for 1,000 APAC employees by collecting, calculating, and reviewing data in the HRIS system</p></li><li><p>Ensure successful completion of each payroll cycle</p></li><li><p>Pay all employee-related compensation accurately and timely</p></li><li><p>Maintain effective internal controls and business continuity plans for all payroll procedures</p></li><li><p>Respond to and maintain good relationships with employees, vendors, and colleagues</p></li><li><p>Communicate on payroll–related interdependencies with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, HR)</p></li><li><p>Keep payroll records organized and compliant with retention policies</p></li><li><p>Determine payroll policies and procedures, including identification of improvements in systems and processes used to enhance the employee experience and efficiencies in payroll administration</p></li><li><p>Identify payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information</p></li><li><p>Process and reconcile year-end reporting and adjustments (e.g., allowances, stock compensation, year-end bonuses, fringe benefits, W-2s)</p></li><li><p>Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations necessary to ensure payroll activity is properly recorded in the consolidated financial statements</p></li><li><p>Train and mentor Payroll Assistants on payroll issues, reporting, taxes, etc.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Requirements</b></p><ul><li><p>5+ years of related experience, such as administrative work or payroll support</p></li><li><p>Exceptional numerical and data entry skills demonstrating speed and great attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information</p></li><li><p>Effective communication skills - both verbally and in writing, and business writing abilities</p></li><li><p>Basic knowledge of payroll rules and policies, as well as general accounting principles</p></li><li><p>Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Experience</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting</p></li><li><p>Minimum of two (2) years of experience with HRIS systems involving HR and/or Payroll administrative support</p></li><li><p>Experience using ADP Celergo</p></li></ul><h1></h1><h1></h1><p></p><p><b><span>Location:</span></b><span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p><p></p></div><div><div><div><div><div><p>This role follows a fully remote work model and is open to candidates located anywhere in Australia.</p></div></div></div></div><div></div><div><div><div><div><div></div></div></div></div></div><p><span> </span></p></div><div><p><span> </span></p></div><div><p><b><span>What We Offer:</span></b><span> </span></p><p></p></div><div><p><span><span>At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role.
