<div><p><b>Overview of Position</b></p><p></p><p>Uses emerging technologies to guide global tax department through process improvement and automation in the areas of financial reporting, tax compliance, software solutions, and forecasting / modeling. Manages the department’s use of new processes and technologies by training users worldwide and then overseeing and supporting the workstreams.</p><p></p><p><b>What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?</b></p><ul><li><p>40% Implements process improvement and automation initiatives within the tax department. This involves executing the strategies and projects from department leads and training/managing the team members in the United States, Latin America, Europe & Asia who will be using the new processes and technologies.</p></li><li><p>40% Manages and maintains financial reporting tax data and processes related to TBO, ITBO, ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP), Global Access and ONESOURCE Income Tax (OIT) systems. Maintains the tax systems for changes in GAAP, STAT, or Tax law and for updates to accounts or entities in the Assurant consolidated group. Maintains, rolls over and validates prior year balances in OTP and TBO. Develops, maintains, and distributes reporting tools (Microsoft BI Cubes, Microsoft Power BI and SSRS reports, Analytic Workbooks, etc.) and validation reports, as needed. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>10% Manages tax technology training and guidance to tax personnel globally including detailed process and system trainings at each level, annual trainings, automated processes, known system issues and fixes and post-close process review and feedback. Effectively communicates and promotes teamwork within the tax department. </p></li><li><p>10% Data processing for Federal & State Compliance & Quarterly Reporting for preparation & analysis.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What are the requirements needed for this position?</b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum of 2 years overall tax experience involving systems, process improvement, and/or tax technology</p></li><li><p>SEC/GAAP Financial statement tax provision preparation/review experience</p></li><li><p>Corporate Federal and State Compliance Experience</p></li><li><p>Experience with generative AI, robotic process automation (RPA) and Microsoft Power Platform</p></li><li><p>Advanced excel knowledge</p></li><li><p>CPA Required</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?</b></p><ul><li><p>Insurance/Financial services industry taxation experience</p></li><li><p>Relevant Degree and Masters preferred</p></li><li><p>SQL or python coding</p></li><li><p>Self-starter and curious about systems and process improvements</p></li></ul><p></p><p>#AssurantProudMS</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Pay Range:</p>$74,600.00 - $124,700.00<p></p><p>Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.</p><p></p><p>If there is no posting end date listed then this is a pipeline requisition, and we will continue to collect applications on an ongoing basis.</p><p></p></div>
