This role focuses on developing and optimizing data pipelines, backend models, and structured datasets that enable enterprise sustainment analytics and dashboarding. The position requires building and maintaining automated ETL workflows, harmonizing complex data sets, and supporting data integration for F 35 depot and sustainment systems. The position is 100% Remote/Telework, location within the DMV metropolitan area is preferred Essential Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain structured data models supporting sustainment analytics and dashboard requirements Build and maintain automated ETL workflows using AWS GovCloud services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena) Apply IL5 cloud controls, NIST 800-53 security requirements, and Zero Trust principles Integrate REST APIs to ingest data from multiple government systems Apply unit testing and validation techniques to ensure data quality Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Hands on ETL development using Python and SQL Experience with AWS services in secure cloud environments Experience integrating REST APIs Familiarity with GitLab and JIRA Clearance An active Secret security clearance or higher is preferred (at the time of application and consideration) Needing minimum Secret clearance to access government platforms and databases Data Engineer I 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience. Knowledge of aviation maintenance or depot sustainment workflows. 3-6 years of direct data engineer experience Physical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods while working at a computer. Must be able to effectively communicate in virtual meetings, briefings, and secure collaboration environments. Ability to review, analyze, and interpret digital data for extended periods with attention to detail and accuracy. Must maintain a home work environment that meets company and government security requirements (e.g., controlled space for handling sensitive or FOUO information, if applicable). Must be able to work assigned East Coast core business hours to support program and customer requirements. This is a full‑time remote role. Team members are expected to be online, available, and responsive during their scheduled work hours to support collaboration and customer needs.
