Follow us on Glassdoor and LinkedIn! Alkami is seeking a Lead Product Manager based in the United States to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the data platform that will power much of Alkami's broader product strategy moving forward. This is a senior individual contributor role with influence and scope that extends across multiple engineering groups, multiple product surfaces, and a multi-year platform vision. In this role, you will lead product across two engineering organizations one focused on data ingestion (acquiring, landing, and onboarding data from a growing set of internal and third-party sources), and one focused on data cleansing, modeling, and insights generation (curating that data into trusted analytic models and the intelligence that sits on top of them). Together, these teams form the foundation of a unified data layer that other Alkami product teams build on, and an evolving intelligence layer that takes our machine learning capabilities to the next level. The ideal candidate combines deep domain knowledge of modern data platforms with the technical fluency to engage credibly with engineering, the strategic judgment to operate at a platform level, and the leadership presence to align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Client Success. Key Responsibilities Platform Strategy & Roadmap Own and evolve a multi-year roadmap spanning data ingestion, data modeling, and the intelligence capabilities built on top of them. Translate Alkami's broader product strategy into a coherent platform strategy, ensuring the data layer is a true force multiplier for downstream product teams and client outcomes. Define and champion the product vision for the unified data layer and the intelligence layer that sits on top of it, including how native, client, and third-party data sets are surfaced through a single, consistent experience. Drive a strong point of view on data governance, quality, lineage, definitions, and standards across both ingestion and modeling domains. Define and monitor the key business and platform metrics that measure success, and use those insights to continuously optimize delivery and value. Data Ingestion, Modeling & Intelligence Partner with the data ingestion engineering team to deliver scalable, cloud-native pipelines that onboard new data sources reliably, securely, and cost-effectively. Partner with the data cleansing, modeling, and insights engineering team to deliver curated, high-trust analytic models that power both internal analytics and external client experiences. Shape the intelligence layer roadmap in close partnership with Data Science, advancing Alkami's machine learning capabilities from point solutions toward a coherent, reusable intelligence platform. Act as the voice of the customer—synthesizing input from financial institution clients, internal analysts, and product teams—to prioritize work that maximizes platform value. Own and manage the backlog(s) for the teams you support well-organized, prioritized, and aligned with the roadmap, with clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Cross-Functional Product Leadership Lead product across two cross-functional Scrum teams (engineers, designers, QA, data scientists), driving alignment without owning the org chart. Serve as the central product point of contact for Sales, Client Success, UX, Engineering, Data Science, and other Product teams that depend on the data platform. Partner with peer Product Managers across Alkami to ensure the data platform meets the needs of the products built on top of it and the strategic bets the company is making. Lead the Agile ceremonies relevant to your teams—sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives—and help shape how product and engineering operate together at the platform layer. Collaborate with engineering leadership to define scope, sequencing, dependencies, and resourcing across both teams. Mentor and uplevel other product managers and adjacent roles through example, coaching, and clear product craft. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus. 10+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on data platforms, analytics products, or developer/internal platforms. Demonstrated experience operating at a lead or principal level setting direction across multiple teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and owning outcomes at a platform or portfolio scope. Prior experience in fintech, digital banking, SaaS, or another regulated, data-intensive domain strongly preferred. Must be based in and authorized to work in the United States. This is a U.S.-based, remote-first role. Technical & Domain Expertise Strong fluency in cloud-native data architectures data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouse patterns, streaming and batch pipelines, and modern modeling approaches. Hands-on familiarity with AWS data services and the broader modern data stack; able to engage credibly with engineers on architectural and trade-off conversations. Experience productizing client-facing data and analytics capabilities, including exposing curated and client-owned data sets through unified, analyst-friendly experiences. Solid working understanding of machine learning productization—how models move from experimentation to production, and what it takes to build a durable intelligence layer on top of a data platform. Experience launching and scaling platform or data products, ideally including a 0–1 offering brought from concept to general availability. Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, and experience leading multiple Agile teams in parallel; comfortable with tools such as Jira and Confluence. Strong grasp of security, privacy, compliance, and performance considerations relevant to financial data. Analytical Mindset & Communication Demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions, inform prioritization, and measure success at a platform level. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences—including executives and clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, first-principles approach to ambiguous problems. Proven ability to influence without authority, build trust across organizations, and rally cross-functional teams around a shared platform vision. Why This Role This is a foundational role at Alkami. The data platform you help shape will underpin a significant portion of Alkami's product strategy for years to come — from how clients access and act on their data, to how our intelligence layer evolves on top of our unified data layer. If you want to lead product at the platform level — where the decisions you make influence many teams, many products, and many clients — this role is built for you. The salary range for this position is $164,000-$205,000 Cool Things to Know Not Just Any Company Alkami has an awesome diverse and inclusive environment.
